I agree. Teaching cannot be replaced by technology, but you can teach great lessons using technology. Technology is a great way to keep the student's attention, and their desire to learn. Through my technology class this semester at Union, Dr. Clifford has shown us easy ways for the children to get involved in the lesson by using technology.

I am in total agreement with your post. I try to explain this to the new teachers on campus every year, that while my job is technology, I only believe in using it where it makes sense and when it makes a difference. Good teachers and good lesson planning will alwasy be at the core of a good classroom. I can watch the same lesson done with technology by 2 different teachers and will see two different results based on how much the teacher planned.

Great post! I totally agree that technology won't replace good teaching. A good teacher knows how to use technology as a tool in order to be more effective in the classroom. I would compare it to owning the best, nicest, fastest, safest car that could be made. This does not make you a good driver.
