Why Would Learners Use Diigo?

Many have been discussing (on this blog and on diigo) why and how teachers would use Diigo. Hillary Reynolds recently stated, “…it is perhaps valuable to draw the distinction here between teaching and learning. Because someone teaches, people do not necessarily learn. The resultant and related question then is Why would learners use Diigo?”
I think Hillary’s question is also worth discussing. So, …Why would learners use Diigo?
