Clif Mims occasionally provides multimedia content to a variety of media outlets. His work has been seen nationally/internationally on NBC Universal properties, CNN, The Weather Channel, National Geographic, Current TV, most local and regional television stations, and has been showcased on many news programs including The Today Show. Clif has also contributed to a number of short films, documentaries, and DVDs. Below are a couple of Clif’s videos that have aired around the world.

Power Plant Explosion

A fire started around 12:30 AM on July 11, 2016, at the substation on Highway 70 near Saffron Springs Drive. This video was filmed less than a mile from the event. It aired during the news for 24 hours on two regional tv stations. One channel also featured it on their Facebook page.

Memphis Tornado

The following video was shot on Tuesday, February 5, 2008. This was the first of many tornadoes in the greater Memphis area. This cell traveled on to Jackson, TN and caused near-catastrophic damage. The National Weather Service has determined that this was an EF-2 tornado. This video aired on a variety of NBC Universal’s properties, including the Today Show, Telemundo, and NBC Nightly News, USA Network, and the NBC News website; Good Morning America on ABC; as well as CBS, CNN, and the Weather Channel. It has also been included in two documentaries.

Snowfall

The next video was shot and edited into three timelapse views of the snow falling in Memphis on March 7, 2008. It aired on the Weather Channel.
