As I’ve previously shared (Good Words 1, 2 and 3) “I really like words. I even have a habit of interrupting friends by declaring “Ooh, good word!” when they use a term that tickles my ears.” Here are a few more words that I’ve come across that I think merit being on my list of good words.
- cantankerous
- colloquialism
- debonair
- derelict
- ergo
- galoshes
- hiatus
- hyperbole (Thanks, Elaine.)
- irksome
- rotund
- suave
Here are some words that you left in the comments section of previous Good Words posts that I especially enjoyed. Thanks for reminding me of these good words.
- precipitous – Debby Smith
- hackneyed – CoreyR
- rigmarole, rambunctious – Shari DeGroff
- simplexity, habitudes, infosumption – Angela Maiers
- logophile, mist, plethora – Joe Brennan
- epitaph, cacophony, saunter, truncate, enigma, and jalapeno – Trevor Acy

Shenanigan(s), sashay, perpendicular, and preposterous. Not to mention agape, succinct, shtick, and finally….onomatopoeia. Whew!
