Yes, I have been a dad today. It’s almost midnight here and one of my boys is not feeling well. I am taking care of him the best I can. I like this commercial, because being a dad has many facets, and having fun is one of them. Just being present is so important, and I don’t just mean physically.
At the same time, it would be nice to break away from the stereotype of dad in a tie (probably just home from work). Yes, it’s a reality, but can’t we work on changing that instead of reinforcing it?
On the one hand this commercial celebrates dads as real parents. On the other, it makes sure he’s still the bread winner. Again, not a bad commercial, it just makes me sad because I miss my kids all day, and it reminds me that I have to go to work tomorrow where nobody will be dancing…

More power to dads!
